Tatsukichi is my favorate Japanese restaurant! KUSHI-AGE (Mix fries, $15)
is so good! SUSHI is one of the best in Boston! You can try Shabu
shabu....You cook the meat by moving the piece of meat back and forth in
the broth. The point is to cook it to your desired doneness whithout letting
go of the meat. The sound it supposedly makes when you move the meat in
the broth is "shabu shabu". Sometimes tofu, spinach, various
mushrooms, udon, etc. are added with the onionsand the Napa cabbage. After
you cook the meat/veggies, you dipit in a sauce (soy, sesame, etc.) before
you eat it.

TENPURA DELUX includes shurimp tenpura, fish tenpura, vegetable tenpura,
white rice, and miso soup (about $20). SUSHI DELUX is also about $20. Although
these TENPURA and SUSHI are very close to Real ones, Japanese will feel
that oil of TENPURA is just too heavy. |

Although TENPURA and SUSHI are very famous Japanese dishes, it is too expensive
to eat them everyday. Japanese eat TEISYOKU everyday! TEISYOKU consists
of white rice, miso soup, and appetizers. I recommend boiled mackerel with
miso sauce as a appetizer ($7.50), it is one of the best real Japanese
dish in Boston! |

Japanese photos in this restaurant. CHIRASHI-DELUX (about $20) is good
and reasonable. TENPURA-SEAFOOD DELUX is also good, although Japanese may
feel that the oil is just too heavy. You can aloso try Takoyaki (grilled

Yamcha-restaurant. Dim Sum--a meal consisting of small portions of a wide
variety of foods. In Chinese restaurants in the US, dim sum is usually
weekend mornings but it's properly eaten in the afternoon. Because,
Yamcha means "drink tea." i.e. tea time. |

This restaurant serves fine pho, the big bowls of traditional soup; messy-but-fun
roll-your-own rice noodle dishes; and some exceptional appetizers, such
as fresh spring rolls and roasted quail. These are very cheap (under $12).
The tastes are simple and good.
